Our team has been on the manufacturing, distribution and contracting sides of the roofing business, with more than 30 years across all three. We know how coatings are made and specified, how material moves and what it costs, and how jobs actually get bid and built.
Our materials partner, Rexcel Coatings, reaches back to Chemrex and Rex Smith in 1969. Rexcel has made and supplied roof coatings for more than 50 years. Our relationship with Rexcel goes back about 25 years, to when Rexcel was a customer of Steve Korbar, founder of OneTen. In 2021 that relationship became a business partnership. Today OneTen and Rexcel work together on materials and manufacturer relationships for the commercial roofing jobs we take. Clay Smith is president of Rexcel.
OneTen is a separate company from Rexcel, and we're not a roofing contractor. We specialize in coatings, backed by 30+ years across all commercial roof systems. We take the call from building owners, and we work with contractors and manufacturer reps. We do roof evaluations and in-house moisture testing, help with system selection, and handle takeoffs and project support. We supply access to all national coating brands, including Gaco and Henry, shipped from the manufacturer to the job site. When a job needs extra hands, we can connect optional installation crews. Because we're not a contractor, we never compete with you for the job.
